Now that phase two of Brexit is in full swing, it is important to make sure your organisation remains up to date with the changing regulatory landscape.
Libra Speciality Chemicals Limited is legally based in the UK, importing and exporting products throughout Europe. As such we wish to ensure that Suppliers, Customers and Interested Parties in the UK/ EU are fully informed of our plans to guarantee full supply continuity and compliance with applicable EU & UK REACH regulations
All products supplied by Libra remain EU REACH compliant. Libra’s EU REACH registrations and our Classification, Labelling and Packaging (CLP) notifications have all been transferred to our European based OR. We have also contacted our suppliers to confirm that the materials they supply to Libra remain registered/ compliant under EU REACH.
The UK REACH regulation has now come into force and within the new regulatory framework, all EU REACH registrations currently held by UK companies were required to be carried across (“Grandfathered”) into the UK system by the end of April 2021. Libra completed the Grandfathering process of all our EU registrations, and we are working towards registering these under the timeline set out under the new UK REACH regulation.
As Phase Two of Brexit develops, we will continue to work very closely with our non-UK suppliers to ensure that all relevant chemicals are EU REACH compliant and are still supported under the new UK regulatory system.
Libra shall also submit downstream user notifications for all imported substances before the deadline of 27th October 2021.
Throughout the Brexit process, we have consistently updated ourselves and our customers on regulatory changes – and we continue to prepare ourselves and our customers for the future.
