Tilly joined Libra in June for her sandwich placement year in industry after finishing her second year of university. Although she is relatively new to the role, she has settled in nicely as part of the Libra team!
Her role of Marketing Executive involves being responsible for Libra’s website, email marketing and social media. In doing this, Tilly generates engaging and informative blog content that is regularly published on our website and on our LinkedIn page. She works closely with the sales team to promote the vast range of quality products and services that Libra offer.
Once she completes her year in industry with us, Tilly will return to study her final year of International Business and Marketing at The Manchester Metropolitan University. With previous digital marketing experience in the workplace, Tilly is well suited to her role with us at Libra. Prior to her placement, she completed various digital marketing freelance work for a financial services marketing company, where she researched and updated email marketing and client information records in ‘Hubspot’ and ‘DotDigital’ databases, using information from ‘Zoom.info’. She also has experience in event planning and marketing while working as a marketing assistant for a charitable organisation.
We chatted with Tilly about her year in industry with us…
‘’I am extremely grateful for the opportunity of a year in industry at Libra, they provide me with the tools I need to gain vital workplace experience. The role is very creative, and I am given lots of opportunities to take it in any direction that I think is suitable, which sets me up well for a career in marketing after university.’’
Tilly continued ‘’my favourite thing about the Marketing Executive role is the room for freedom and creativity. The way that the Libra have combined flexibility with support when needed makes it the perfect environment for any marketing student to gain invaluable workplace experience. The whole team at Libra have been so welcoming and accommodating, everyone wants to help one another wherever they can.’’
Finally, we asked Tilly what trends she has identified within our industry and where she sees Libra in the future…
‘’ The use and development of new technologies within the industry is something that I have found very interesting. I think particularly the utilising of new technologies to try and create more sustainable methods of production is something that we will see a lot more of over the next few years.’’
‘’In the future, I’d like to see the continuation of substantial investments being made at our Manchester HQ. Looking forwards, I see Libra as not only innovative in their products, but innovative in their approach to sustainability and the environment. I’d like to see us continue to make positive sustainable decisions and combat the environmental crisis head on for many years to come.’’
